Annabel Hertz, Founder

As a writer, and as consultant and former executive and advocate with think tanks and internationally-focused NGOs, my background spans communications, business development and services, research, strategy, branding and coaching. My experience includes advising nonprofit startups, revitalizing an international women’s leadership organization and co-pioneering a green investment facility recognized by the US government and Congress for its innovation. I hold an MPA from Harvard’s Kennedy School, an MA in International Relations (IR) from San Francisco State and a BA from UC Santa Cruz. I’ve taught graduate courses—and completed doctoral level training—in IR, and have executive education training in business.

 

Martin Enriquez, Advisor

As the founder of Firewater ventures, I specialize in unexpected market breakthroughs and commercialization. I’ve worked with Visa, Vodafone, and in late-stage start-ups as CEO/CXO, with responsibilities over $2 billion and hands-on work in over 20 countries across Europe, the Middle-East, Asia and North and South America. I use customer-centered creativity with insightful analytic, strategic and technical acumen to deliver in unfamiliar, challenging situations such as creating Vodafone’s most successful subsidiary in Egypt, achieving the fastest to $1 billion in revenue and in customer growth and highest profitability margins. I hold concurrent MBA and MA in Education degrees from Stanford University.

Erika Lenkert, Advisor

As the founder and publisher of Gluten Free Forever, I conceptualized and launched the first national gourmet gluten-free magazine in print and online. As a freelance content strategist and producer, I develop and implement content and syndication strategies; build full-time and freelance editorial, photography, and design teams; develop and establish brand style guidelines; conceptualize and execute interactive advertorial campaigns; art direct; write and edit marketing, advertising, promotional, website, and packaging copy. As a freelance writer, I create feature travel, food, wine, trend, and lifestyle articles for print and online media. I hold a BA in English Literature from UC Berkeley.
