Kaye Manjares always had a passion for cooking and baking. Following on a career in the military, she graduated from Le Cordon Bleu Scottsdale. At that time, she thought she knew how to live a healthy lifestyle. However, after starting a family and being diagnosed with gestational diabetes twice, and then with prediabetes, she decided to make lifestyle changes. Her research led her to a ketogenic diet, which she began to follow.

However, finding a lack of keto options in grocery stores and restaurants, Kaye started baking at home, and realized she wanted to share her products with others facing the same dilemma. Kaye’s Keto Kreations was brought to life in October of 2018 as a home-based family bakery that offers low-carb, gluten-free and sugar-free baked goods with a keto emphasis. Though she uses mainly organic and certified gluten-free ingredients, Kaye notes you don’t need to follow a keto diet or have celiac, diabetic or other dietary restrictions to enjoy her products, which are made with almond and coconut flours, sweetened with erythritol and stevia and contain fresh ingredients like blueberries and zucchini.

She delivers these locally in the Phoenix region and has a stand at the Peoria farmers market on Saturdays during the outdoor market season. In summer, she’ll be at the Fair Trade Café located in downtown Phoenix on Saturdays. But due to the growing demand and popularity of her creations, she’s been bombarded by requests to offer shipping and delivery nationwide— a goal she aims to achieve in 2019. In fact, her products are so popular, she has to make sure they get out of the house: Kaye will often see her son running in and out of the kitchen with cookies stolen from the batches she’s already packaged for the farmers market—and find her husband eating her biscuits as they come out of the oven!
